Asia-Pacific Center of Education for International Understanding
亚太国际理解教育中心（APCEIU）位于韩国，为联合国教科文组织资助的二类机构。APCEIU将国际理解教育（EIU）的内容归纳为“在知识领域，包括和平、人权、发展、环境、国际理解和不同文化理解、对国际机构的了解；在态度领域，包括自我尊重、对他人的尊重、对生态环境的责任意识、对正义和平的责任意识、开放的心态、同情的态度、共同体意识等；在技能领域，则包括批判性思维能力、解决问题的能力、合作能力、想象能力、自我主张能力解决矛盾的能力、参与意识、沟通交往能力。”
APCEIU正在通过各种国际理解教育和全球公民教育计划来履行联合国教科文组织的使命。APCEEIU的使命包括：
①为了在亚太区域以及国际上进行宣传，EIU强调参与性民主、人权保护、社会和经济正义、文化间的尊重、生态可持续以及非暴力和公正和解；
②与具有共同目标的教育者和机构合作，以扩大、加强以及制度化学校和社会中的EIU；
③成为亚太地区EIU课程教育、培训、研究和开发的卓越中心；
④通过网络和合作伙伴关系，与其他地区和国家的教育工作者、决策者、机构和社区团体共享增强和实施EIU的想法和经验。
Asia-Pacific Center of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) is located in South Korea and is a category 2 centre under the auspices of UNESCO. APCEIU named Education for International Understanding (ElU) interchangeably as global education international education, peace education or global citizenship education in various contexts, ElU is a holistic and multi-dimensional education initiative to promote Culture of Peace. It advocates participatory democracy, human rights and dignity, social and economic equity, ecological sustainability, and peaceful and just reconciliation of conflicts Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding(APCEIU).
APCEIU is fulfilling UNESCO’s mandate through various programmes of Education for International Understanding and Global Citizenship Education. The mission of APCEEIU includes：
①to promote regionally and internationally, EIU which strengthens participatory democracy, protection of human rights, social and economic justice, inter-cultural respect, ecological sustainability, and nonviolent and just reconciliation of conflicts.
②to collaborate with educators and institutions who share our goals, in order to expand, strengthen, and institutionalize EIU in schools and society.
③to serve as a centre of excellence for education, training, research and development of curricula for EIU in the Asia- Pacific Region
④to share ideas and lessons for enhancing and implementing EIU with educators, policy-makers, institutions, and comm unities in other regions and countries, through networking and partnerships.
