联合国教科文组织终身学习研究(UIL)所于1951年设立于德国汉堡,是联合国教科文组织下属的国际性政策研究、培训、信息服务、档案服务和出版中心。作为联合国教科文组织下设的一类机构,UIL聚焦终身学习(特别是成人学习和教育)的政策和实践,重视并承认各种形式的学习,特别是非正式学习、过往学习经验和实践学习,为边缘化和弱势群体提供扫盲、非正式教育和多样化的学习机会。
The Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL), founded in 1951 in Hamburg, Germany, is an international policy research, training, information service, archive service and publishing centre under UNESCO. As a Category I Institute under UNESCO, UIL focuses on the policies and practices of lifelong learning (especially adult learning and education), and attaches importance to and recognizes various forms of learning, especially informal learning, past learning experience and practical learning, as well as providing eliminate illiteracy, informal education and diverse learning opportunities for marginalized and vulnerable groups.
